K. Ray I have always been fascinated by photographic images and dabbled throughout my early years in high school and then took a few courses in college as well. After college I pursued a number of careers including opening an art gallery in San Diego with emphasis on local photographer’s work. Eventually I was drawn to Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara where I received my B.S in Industrial Photography. I found this to be a challenging aspect of photography and really enjoyed chasing Haley’s comet to New Zealand and capturing stop motion images of bullets using micro flash technology! It was a sad day when I graduated and had to figure out how to put all of that new found knowledge to work making a living! Having spent a summer interning with one of the leading car photographers of that time, I was approached by him to manage his studio. From there I kept exploring all aspects of commercial advertising photography and eventually started representing photographers in 1995. I have found that my technical and production knowledge of the business has been instrumental in making me a well rounded agent who is able to offer creative solutions to complex projects.
